Wisconsin Selects LOIS and Lasso

States are under increasing pressure to provide accurate and unified information to businesses making fast decisions.

Wisconsin wanted a clean and efficient way to do it.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation recently adopted the LOIS and Lasso software platforms to modernize how site selection data is managed across the State. Wisconsin has published a new public map on its economic development website, powered by LOIS, to take advantage of the interconnection between public marketing in LOIS and private communication in Lasso. The approach gives the State a straightforward way to manage the information it wants to promote online alongside the data it needs to keep private for responding to site selection RFIs.

Key components of the implementation include co-listing the State’s properties on the LocationOne Property Marketplace to expand their visibility to thousands in the U.S. and abroad.  They also integrated commercial real estate property listings from REDI CRE by Moody’s and workforce data from Lightcast to provide a comprehensive view of their inventory.
